As for the second Schlitz bottle (in the smaller ad) which is similar in shape to the current Miller High Life bottle- I've seen them called "select" in old brewers publications.
That design was often used by brewers for their pricier beers while their "regular" or "popular" priced beers were still in that US version of a stubby bottle, circa 1960-1970's.

For many years A-B recommended a shelf life of 110 days, but a few years ago extended that to 180 days.
